Getting started
From nothing to a plan in progress: the account, the front door, and the first few minutes.
Creating an account
Sign up with an email address and a password of at least eight characters. There is no email verification step — the account is active on the same request, and you land straight in the conversation rather than in a setup wizard.
Where you land
The front door is the conversation. Opening the app with no plan yet asks you for your restaurant's name and begins. Opening it when you already have one plan takes you back into that plan where you left off. With more than one, it asks which.
The first few minutes
- 1
About two minutes in
You have a real cover page with your business on it, and several sections already filling behind it.
- 2
About three minutes in
The special-process screen. If you sous vide, vacuum-pack, cure, ferment for safety or hold acidified rice, the conversation stops here and tells you that you need a process authority. Better to learn that in three minutes than after an hour.
- 3
About ten minutes in
A food truck sees three documents appear that a fixed kitchen never gets: water supply, waste retention, and commissary servicing. They switch on from the answer, not from a setting.
- 4
About an hour in
All of the questions. Every section, the SOPs your answers called for, every blank log, the flow chart at full length. The finalize gate opens.
You can stop whenever
Every answer is saved as you give it. Close the tab, come back next week, and the conversation resumes at the question you were on.
