Documentation
How HACCPlan works
Everything the restaurant plan builder does, how to do each of it, and — in its own section rather than buried — what it will not do. Written to be read in a hurry, on a phone, standing in a kitchen.
These cover the restaurant product at app.haccplan.com. The same codebase still contains a food safety system for manufacturers — batch records, supplier approval, shipping, mock recalls — which this site no longer sells and which is not documented here.
01
What HACCPlan is
A guided writer for one document — a restaurant's HACCP plan — and the SOPs and blank records that go with it.
02
Getting started
From nothing to a plan in progress: the account, the front door, and the first few minutes.
03
How the conversation works
Voice, menu upload, what happens when you don't know, and why it sometimes argues with you.
04
What you end up with
The binder, the SOPs, the wall posters, the blank records — and the numbering that ties them together.
05
Revisions, sign-off and keeping it current
Who signs, what they sign, and what happens when the kitchen changes underneath a signed plan.
06
Plans, slots and what things cost
How many establishments each package covers, what is free, and what happens when you run out of room.
07
What it will not do
The boundaries, written down in one place rather than discovered at checkout.
08
Reference
Every screen in the app, what it is for, and the numbers behind the plan builder.
